A myth of racing history.

The BMW 328 was a sports car built by Bayerische Motoren Werke. The roadster, built in Eisenach, was first seen at the 1936 Eifel Race on the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring, where it won the class of sports cars up to 2000 cc (without compressor) under Ernst Jakob Henne with an average speed of 101.6 km/h.

The BMW 328 was available for purchase from February 1937 at a price of 7400 Reichsmarks. 464 cars were built until the beginning of 1940 according to BMW AG, other sources mention 462 units. The BMW 328 was one of the "dream sports cars" of its time.

Telescopic shock absorbers were installed in many surviving examples of the 328.
